Richard Chamberlain, the main character, doesn’t remember anything when he regains consciousness. Although he has no memory of his history, including his identity, he soon learns that he possesses a remarkable command of martial arts and a gift for bargaining.

It swiftly dawns on him that if he wants to preserve his life, he must ascertain his true identity as soon as possible.

With Marie (Franka Potente), he is thus compelled to move frequently to stay off the CIA radar and live a more-or-less regular life. But when their secret location is discovered, Bourne resolves to confront his past to preserve the life of his beloved wife and stop a major international disaster.

5. The Bourne Legacy (2012)

The Bourne Legacy (2012)

Six weeks ago in Moscow, the CIA lost track of Jason Bourne (Matt Damon). A federal agent named Aaron Cross (Jeremy Renner) is simultaneously on a covert mission from the Alaska Department of Defense. He must endure harsh weather and demanding training as part of a hidden experiment in which he serves as a test subject. In particular, Cross received medications that improve both the user’s mental and physical capabilities.

Under scrutiny from the FBI and the Senate after Bourne revealed the CIA’s covert operations (Treadstone and Blackbriar) are CIA Director Ezra Kramer (Scott Glenn), Blackbriar representative Noah Vosen (David Strathairn), and Treadstone doctor Albert Hirsch (Albert Finney). These individuals then decide to stop all covert operations, such as the one involving Aaron Cross, and demand that all participants turn themselves in.

Jason Bourne (Matt Damon), who exposed Operation Blackbriar and vanished twelve years prior, has regained his memories but has also started engaging in vicious battles without cover.

Nicky Parsons (Julia Stiles) travels to Reykjavk to join a group of activists and hackers led by Christian Dassault (Vinzenz Kiefer) to hack into a CIA mainframe to learn more about the U.S. Secret Service’s most secretive activities. The break-in alerts not only CIA director Robert Dewey but also Heather Lee (Alicia Vikander), the chief of the section in charge of cyberattacks (Tommy Lee Jones).

In the process, Parsons unearths records about Bourne’s recruitment, learns of his father’s involvement with the Treadstone program, and makes a trip to Athens to inform Bourne of her findings.

Treadstone – Season 1 (2019)

After creating the superspy Jason Bourne, the treadstone project is now focusing on a new procedure to create stronger assassins than any human being.

Sadly, after just one season, the program has been canceled. The sixth Jason Bourne film should have had a possible setup with Treadstone. Although it is unnecessary to see it after the films, you can, of course, as it is a continuation.
