Jason Bourne Movies in Order

Like above, we will categorise the Bourne films, but we’ll also tell you about them and recommend which ones you should watch and which you shouldn’t. Stay with us a little longer.

1. The Bourne Identity (1988)

This miniseries is an adaptation of Robert Ludlum’s best-selling novel for the screen. Fishermen rescue an injured, nearly dead guy, which they can save, setting the scene for the story.

Richard Chamberlain, the main character, doesn’t remember anything when he regains consciousness. Although he has no memory of his history, including his identity, he soon learns that he possesses a remarkable command of martial arts and a gift for bargaining.

It swiftly dawns on him that if he wants to preserve his life, he must ascertain his true identity as soon as possible.

To follow other Bourne movies, you don’t need to have seen The Bourne Identity.

2. The Bourne Identity (2002)

The injured man is unaware of his identity or how he ended out in the sea until he is accidentally spotted and saved by fishermen. He eventually remembers his name is Jason Bourne (M. Damon), but he is still unsure what a pistol and a fake passport do to him. He eventually starts remembering facts from his life, such as having a Swiss bank account.

Bourne’s search for answers begins as he travels with his new acquaintance Marie (F. Potente). He will learn that certain dangerous individuals are not pleased with his survival, which will cause things to get tricky.

3. The Bourne Supremacy (2004)

Even though Jason Bourne (Matt Damon) no longer lives the life of a contract assassin, his dreams still bring back memories of his time working for the CIA. Bourne has become so unsure of which memories are real and which are the result of his imagination that he has practically psychotic behaviour.

With Marie (Franka Potente), he is thus compelled to move frequently to stay off the CIA radar and live a more-or-less regular life. But when their secret location is discovered, Bourne resolves to confront his past to preserve the life of his beloved wife and stop a major international disaster.

4.  The Bourne Ultimatum (2007)

Jason Bourne, played by Matt Damon, is a skilled assassin. After losing his memories and being abandoned by the single person he loved, he will not be stopped by a flood of bullets from a new generation of specially trained assassins who will do everything it takes to keep him from discovering his identity.

From the beginning to the final second, The Bourne Ultimatum delivers heart-stopping action, death-defying feats, and exhilaration.

5. The Bourne Legacy (2012)

Six weeks ago in Moscow, the CIA lost track of Jason Bourne (Matt Damon). A federal agent named Aaron Cross (Jeremy Renner) is simultaneously on a covert mission from the Alaska Department of Defense. He must endure harsh weather and demanding training as part of a hidden experiment in which he serves as a test subject. In particular, Cross received medications that improve both the user’s mental and physical capabilities.

Under scrutiny from the FBI and the Senate after Bourne revealed the CIA’s covert operations (Treadstone and Blackbriar) are CIA Director Ezra Kramer (Scott Glenn), Blackbriar representative Noah Vosen (David Strathairn), and Treadstone doctor Albert Hirsch (Albert Finney). These individuals then decide to stop all covert operations, such as the one involving Aaron Cross, and demand that all participants turn themselves in.

6. Jason Bourne (2016)

Jason Bourne (Matt Damon), who exposed Operation Blackbriar and vanished twelve years prior, has regained his memories but has also started engaging in vicious battles without cover.

Nicky Parsons (Julia Stiles) travels to Reykjavk to join a group of activists and hackers led by Christian Dassault (Vinzenz Kiefer) to hack into a CIA mainframe to learn more about the U.S. Secret Service’s most secretive activities. The break-in alerts not only CIA director Robert Dewey but also Heather Lee (Alicia Vikander), the chief of the section in charge of cyberattacks (Tommy Lee Jones).

In the process, Parsons unearths records about Bourne’s recruitment, learns of his father’s involvement with the Treadstone program, and makes a trip to Athens to inform Bourne of her findings.

7. Treadstone – Season 1 (2019)

After creating the superspy Jason Bourne, the treadstone project is now focusing on a new procedure to create stronger assassins than any human being.

Sadly, after just one season, the program has been canceled. The sixth Jason Bourne film should have had a possible setup with Treadstone. Although it is unnecessary to see it after the films, you can, of course, as it is a continuation.
